Enhancing Arbitration Skills: Lawyer Dang Viet Anh’s Contribution to VIART’s Training Program

From 7 March 2025 to 9 March 2025, Lawyer Dang Viet Anh, Managing Partner of ANHISA LLC, had the privilege of serving as a lecturer in the specialized training course “Skills in Dispute Resolution by Arbitration” (Basic training course). This program, organized by the Vietnam Institute for International Arbitration Research and Training (VIART) under the Vietnam International Arbitration Center (VIAC), aimed to equip participants with essential knowledge and practical skills in arbitration proceedings.

Throughout the training, Mr. Dang Viet Anh shared his in-depth expertise, real-world experience, and dynamic teaching methods to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of commercial arbitration. His sessions covered crucial aspects such as:

• The fundamentals of commercial arbitration and its legal framework;
• Drafting and negotiating arbitration agreements;
• Preparing written submissions and managing evidence in arbitration cases;
• Identifying and addressing conflicts of interest concerning arbitrators;
• Effective case management strategies;
• Advocacy skills for arbitration hearings;
• The process of arbitral decision-making and award drafting.

Mr. Dang Viet Anh dedicated significant time and effort to ensuring that participants not only grasped theoretical concepts but also developed a practical appreciation for arbitration as an effective dispute resolution method. He strongly believes that the training program has delivered significant value to attendees, fostering their interest in commercial arbitration and contributing to the broader development of dispute resolution practices in Vietnam.
